Тhere are two types of commemorations иn our Orthodox Church - private and public:
Private days to commemorate the deceased are considered:
- the third, ninth, twentieth and fourth day
- the third, sixth and ninth month
- anniversaries
General days - Asphyxiators:
- Lent (week before Lent)
- Archangel's Assumption (the Saturday before Archangel's Day is the "Great Assumption"). In 2021 it falls on November 6, Saturday.
- Cherry Assumption (on the Saturday before Pentecost - on the 50th day after Easter). In 2021 it falls on June 19, Saturday.
Memorials for the deceased are not made:
- During the first week of Lent
- From Lazarus Day to Tomina Sunday
- From St. Ignatius to St. John's Day
